Naked Unicyclist on the Kemah Bridge

Yes, really.

Shortly after 1:00 yesterday afternoon Nick Saum was driving over the Kemah bridge and snapped this picture from his car window.  Apparently, he wasn't the only one to notice the naked unicyclist making his way over the kemah bridge.  Kemah police reported a flood of calls.  Needless to say after Nick posted this picture to his facebook account, it quickly went viral.

The naked man, Joseph Glynn Farley, 45, of Clear Lake was arrested on indecent exposure before he crested the top of the Kemah bridge.

When asked why, Mr. Farley told police “he liked the way it felt”.

New Road Open in Seabrook

After more than a decade of planning, negotiating, finding funds and construction, Repsdorph Road in Seabrook is now complete and completely open.

The traffic circle or roundabout is located south of Red Bluff Rd, North of Repsdorph Road, east of the City of El Lago and west of Highway 146.....ahhh hell here's a map:

In short you can now get from Red Bluff to Nasa Rd. 1 without having to go to Kirby or Highway 146.

Everytime I see a roundabout I can't help saying "Look Kids, Big Ben, Parliament"

In every community you find the "people you gotta know".  Whether that be because they're the ones with a boat, or they're the ones that have the beach house on the coast, etc..  In Clear lake one such family is the Cole's.

I met Gene and Cindy a few years back when my parents moved a couple doors down from their house on the lake and we became fast friends.   Gene has an ear for local talent and knows his Texas music.  Not to mention thier home is a paradise all to itself.  From beers at a local joint watching some new local band Gene has found, to beers, barbeque, and an Astro's game under the Palapa in Gene's backyard, Gene has mastered the art of being retired and enjoying life.

This past Saturday on Easter weekend marked the Second Annual Lake Mija Jam Fest in Gene and Cindys back yard on the shores of Lake Mija in Seabrook.  As usual, great music, great food, and a great place to meet interesting locals.  I was fortunate enough to meet Ms. Traci Rogers of HoustonMusicReview.com.  For a great a take on this years Lake Mija Jam Fest you can catch her article here.

Here's a short vid. I took from my cell phone to give you an idea.

Avoid Hwy. 146 in Seabrook for the next 6 hours

UPDATE:  All Clear!

Quick heads up.

There was a gas line break in the 3400 block of State Highway 146 in Seabrook.

Currently, southbound lanes of 146 are being detoured at Red Bluff.  Northbound  is not affected at this time.

Center Point has estimated the repair to take up to 6 hours.  Seabrook Vol. Fire Dept. is monitoring the situation and has advised the levels are safe it will only be a nuisance.

Good News:  It's humpday weeks half over anyway.
